Running Pain Free

Well, to begin with, I’m a podiatrist. What that means I’ll cover in detail later in this book, but for now, it’s enough to know that I am a specialist in the care and treatment of feet and ankles. My name is Dr . Khosroabady and I am the founder of Foot&Ankle Alliance.

I’m also an active member of my community. Because of my unique training in the care of feet and ankles, I see people every day who suffer from foot pain. So often my patients tell me that they’ve been experiencing symptoms, including pain, for very long periods of time before they finally come in to see me. In some cases they’ve waited years!

Sometimes when I’m out in the community, at the grocery store, for example, I’ll see folks I know who say, “Hi Doc. You know I need to come in to see you because I’ve got a pain in my ankle or my heel hurts.” Then months will go by and I’ll see them again and they’ll repeat the same thing.

When they finally do come in, in almost every case I am able to alleviate their pain, treat their condition, and drastically improve their quality of life.
The big question I used to ask myself is “Why?”  Why do people suffer needlessly for years when a quick trip to see me almost always relieves their problems? It used to bother me, but as I’ve continued to see patients I’ve come to understand that sometimes fear of the unknown is stronger than the pain or inconveniences my patients face.

What I’ve also learned is that in case after case-even though my patients could have saved themselves time, trouble, and expense by just coming in to see me- patients didn’t have enough information to help them clearly understand their foot pain and the incredible options that state-of-the art podiatric medicine offers today.

So, I created this publication. I wrote it for you. I also wrote it to help you clearly understand what is happening with your feet and to help you get a sense of the help that is awaiting you at a podiatrist’s office. I hope it is helpful and that it answers your questions. If after reading it you think you might be helped by seeing a podiatrist, I hope you consider Foot&Ankle Alliance. My staff and I will do everything we can to treat your condition, reduce or eliminate your pain, and make you feel at home.

Board Eligible Podiatrist Ready to Alleviate Your Foot and Ankle Pain

If you're suffering from heel pain, plantar fasciitis, a sore heel, foot and ankle pain, blisters on your feet, I know how miserable you are. As a board eligible podiatrist, I know how our feet truly do bear the weight of our world, for good or for bad.

Suffer from excruiting or even moderate or minor foot pain and I know how awful you can feel. Bunion pain, shin splints, toe pain, an Achilles tendon injury all of these can conspire to make your day-to-day life miserable. But you needn't suffer. Podiatric medicine as practiced by a board eligible podiatrist can alleviate your pain quickly and often without surgery. For example, foot pain often is caused by sports injuries, such as overuse by runners or poor fitting running shoes. A podiatrist can examine your feet, legs, toes as well as your walking and running gait. Often proper leg stretching can help alleviate your pain and a podiatrist can recommend and demonstrate these exercise.

Sometimes, simple shoes inserts or custom orthotic inserts can be placed in your running shoes to alleviate and prevent foot and ankle pain. As a board eligible podiatrist, I'm an expert at diagnosing and treating plantar fasciitis pain. If you have considerable hell pain, you may be suffering from this condition, which is caused when the ligament which connects your toes to you heel bone becomes inflamed. Plantar fasciitis is the most common form of heel pain, predominately affecting athletes and the heavy. Heel pain treatment for this condition can be as simple as performing foot stretching exercises. You may need to wear splint at night, be given a shot of a steroid medicine in your heel, etc. Surgery usually isn't necessary. Heel pain causes often result from poorly made or ill fitting shoes. Toe problems in women such as feet bunions or even foot ankle problems often are a result of too-small shoes, or shoes with tiny toe boxes. Ankle injuries also can result when a woman trips when wearing high heeled shoes.

Achilles injury happens often in athletes. The Achilles is the tendon in the back of your leg that runs from your ankle to your calf. If you suffer an Achilles injury, your board eligible podiatrist may prescribe a custom made orthotic insert for your running shoes. I see many marathon runners in my practice. Often they'll have a foot ankle problems, shin splints, bunions on foot, a hurting heel. As a top podiatrist, I'm an expert at helping runners keep themselves free from foot pain and injury free. Your feet support your weight day in and day out. Treat them well and you truly can live a life free from foot and ankle pain. As a board eligible podiatrist, I can help you cure your foot pain, alleviate your toe pain and bunion pain. In short, I'll help you keep your feet healthy and pain-free.

Dedicated to your health,
Dr. Alireza Khosroabady
